The cycle, every thirty minutes
One timer by task_start, exactly one live, restarted at the top of each cycle (two live once; stop the old when the new starts). Order: merges since the last cycle; the gate (report a passing PR only with its age; exclude drafts); red CI (partition run lists by branch before any repo-wide claim); row PRs; the nodes and PLAT-50's GPU lock (read ~/.aa2/gpu-lock and ~/.aa2/gpu-waiters/; never touch lab1-pull-*, lab1-predict-all, lab1-prep-v2; judge the GPU by memory.used, utilization.gpu and --query-compute-apps together); the Actions budget and the month's minutes every cycle, warning the parent at 80 percent of the 600 USD cap (gh api "/organizations/agentarmies/settings/billing/usage?year=2026&month=9" under the Mac's gh; budget 600 USD, prevent_further_usage true, alerts to joelgreen).
The budget band
Fourteen intervals since 02:11: 2.10, 1.34, 1.84, 1.53, 1.70, 2.08, 1.40, 1.56, 1.16, 2.55, 1.63, 1.60, 1.06, 1.27 USD per hour. PLAT-59 carries about 1.1 to 2.6 USD per hour, mean about 1.7, cap runway ten to twenty-two days; revised once; a 1.06 sample at 08:45 deliberately not revised (revise on a clear break under 1.0 or a repeat). The spread tracks merges (eight merges in the 2.55 hour). Size self-hosted capacity against the top of the range; the argument on PLAT-59 is efficiency, not risk.
Conventions settled
Every DEMOS row carries a ticket (orchestrator#20). END-STATE tickets do not go in demos rows (five for five: SIM-1, AST-3, EVAL-8, LAB-5, CMP-2 all absent). A row naming a generation goes stale by design and hedges by pointing at status.json. Restate a squash subject only for a checkable contradiction (a number, a date, a count), never wording; always a one-line note on the PR. Disclose non-neutrality (#16, #18, #20 and the CMP-2 judgement came from gaps ops raised).
Verifications on the operation
aa-gh after platform#34 and #36 (aa-gh api user returns 403 correctly, aa-gh pr list is the control); aa-linear after platform#37, direct and piped; platform#38's installer flag; aa-cpu-1's review shim (PLAT-25 fd365bf2: AA_AS=review aa-gh api /installation/repositories from the node returns 18); PLAT-25 holds (~/.aa2/bin copies never edited live).
Open observations
The org demos index shows labs red ([email protected]: expected a non-empty string; labs adds page:, platform's PLAT-63 makes visuals without a page read pending). CMP-2 appears zero times in DEMOS.md as a real reference (correct if superseded by CMP-17 and CMP-19). The teacup row (#18) is public-ok with Commons' creator-and-year condition verified against the provider's IIIF manifest. earth-data#6 merged but the pointer had not moved (a merge does not republish; verify by digest chain).
Verification habits
Quote every gh api path with a query string (zsh eats the ?; two empty files compare equal; e3b0c442… is the sha256 of the empty string). Assert operands non-empty before comparing. GET, never HEAD, for edge state (HEAD is DYNAMIC on store-dev and answers 404 for objects the edge serves; 48 objects purged tonight said 404 by HEAD and 200 HIT by GET). Give every 404 a positive control. The awk row-counter undercounts; split cells and test the first.
The stop file and the new line
~/.aa2/stop/org-ops-7, checked each cycle (org-ops and org-ops-5 present are not yours). Once platform's PLAT-62 lands, the cycle opens the legal-status refresh PRs in each consuming repo whenever the orchestrator's legal-status.json changes, and merges legal-log row PRs as the non-author after checking the source's stated conditions. Reports to the parent only when something changed or needs a decision; timestamps by date -u; notify quiet on any child; spawn nothing on Claude.
The last cycle (09:01, run early)
One merge since 08:40 (eval#11); zero reds; no open row PRs; labs#22 passing the gate at zero minutes' age; 5,724 minutes, 11.94 USD, 2.0 percent of the cap.
